Alstonville High School has an efficient and obliging administration team, which includes an experienced clerical staff headed by Mrs Wendy Binnie, two general assistants and an Administration Head Teacher Mr Geoff Colnan. It is through this team that initial contact with the school is often made. A range of information can be accessed through the office, either directly from the team or by referral to the appropriate staff member. The school boasts an excellent student attendance record. Currently it is the best in the Tweed/Ballina network. This high rate of student attendance can be attributed to the caring environment which is conductive to learning. Attendance is carefully monitored and followed up with parent contact. The senior students are given some flexibility with their time at school with the operation of a senior attendance policy, which allows them under certain circumstances to sign in and out throughout the day. The school has a modern extremely well equipped print and lamination work shop. It is skilfully managed by Mrs Joan Patch who coordinated the production of a variety of booklets, worksheets and resource material which enhances the learning of the students. Special provisions are provided for students with learning disabilities to ensure they maximise their learning experiences. A fortnightly newsletter, information sheets as needed and quality school reports are generated and distributed thus ensuring good communication with the parents and community. The Administration Team play other important roles including:
